{Holiday Mini Sessions are Here!} Ventura Family Photographer

It’s that time of year again!  Isn’t it amazing how fast the year has gone by? I can’t believe that its almost October.   The fall is my favorite time of year…pumpkin patches, warm apple cider, and family portraits!

Here’s the scoop:

  • Oct 11th- Mini Sessions in a garden setting
  • Oct. 17th- Mini Sessions at my favorite beach
  • Oct. 25th- Mini Sessions in a tree-filled park

Here’s what you get with a mini session:

  • 20 minute session for up to five members of the same immediate family
  • 10-12 images on a password protected online gallery
  • high resolution digital cd of all images with unlimited printing privileges
  • 50 custom holiday cards (choose from several designs) with envelopes

Your high resolution digital CD gives you unlimited gift possibilities! Here are just a few ideas:

  • print images from your favorite store or online vendor (www.mpix.com is recommended) and frame for beautiful, inexpensive gifts to family and friends
  • create personalized 2010 calendars (www.shutterfly.com is recommended)
  • www.shutterfly.com also has lots of little fun gifts like ornaments, personalized story books, notebooks, notepads, keepsake boxes, and even totes (can you imagine how cute with your very own picture on the front!)

$375

Sounds great…so how do I book?

A very limited number of mini sessions will be offered, so please act quickly if you would like to reserve one for your family.

Meet Devan…

Isn’t she an absolute doll?  She and her family were so fun to work with that it didn’t seem like work at all.  When sessions go that way I know for sure that the images will turn out great!

We shot at The Gardens of the World.  It is a stunning venue and I’ll definitely shoot there again.  Devan found a little make-shift slide and had a great time.

Love the one in the middle on the bottom of this series.  Its like she’s saying “did you guys see that!?!”

Checking out the roses…

My favorites of the day are this series.  Such a simple thing, drinking out of a fountain, but somehow these guys turned it into such fun…

Thanks so much to the *B* family.  I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.  Lots more to come…I’m having such a hard time narrowing your gallery down!!

Ready for some eye candy?  Here is a look at my new product line!  I am in absolute *love* with my samples….

First up is the folio.  It is available in a rainbow of colors and contains the three favorite 5×7’s from your session.  It can be displayed open like a table-top frame and closes into a small book.

Next is the session box.  It holds all the images from your session as 5×7’s which are available with our without custom borders.  The box itself is custom designed to match the look and feel of your session.

Ahhh, my favorite.  The fine art image portfolio…I am in love with this baby!  It is an 8×10 box that holds 15 beautiful matted 5×7’s.  These mats are stunning and are suitable for framing, placement on an easel, or elegant display and later storage in the custom designed box.  Images are easily removed and reinserted in the mats so you can mix it up!

And finally is the fine art album.  This is hands down the most beautiful album I have ever seen, and I’m so excited to be able to offer it to my clients.  It is substantial…I  think it weighs about 6 pounds!  The pages are so rich and thick its almost unreal.

If you would like to see these items in person send me an email and we’ll set up a time for you to come by the studio to check them out.   After all, what’s the point in having beautiful custom portratis without a beautiful custom way to display them?!?

Happily Ever After {Ventura County Wedding Photographer}

Over the holiday weekend I had the pleasure of capturing a stunning wedding that took place at the glass chapel.  This was the first time that I had been to this location, and it is amazing!  The natural light that filters in through the trees is perfect and made my job so easy!

It is utterly amazing how fast this year has gone by.  I feel like we just brought her home from the hospital, and already she is one.

Chloe today…img11img21

She is such a sweet and happy little girl…loves her big brother, baths, and yogurt!  I’m so grateful that I am the one who is blessed with the task of being her mama.   As happy as this day is, its a little sad too (for me at least!).   I miss the infant that she was, love the baby that she is, and can’t wait to meet the toddler that she will become.  Happy Birthday Chloe Grace!

{My Own} Camarillo Children’s Photographer

In a pathetically feeble attempt at gardening I recently planted flowers in the big copper pot that sits on my porch.  I love this copper pot (and anything copper, really) but sadly it is quite neglected and whatever tries to live in it is usually dead within a month…two at most.  I would like to be a gardener, and one day when I have more time it will definitely be a hobby I pursue, but for now I’ll stick to changing out the flowers in my big copper pot four times a year.

I had a helper this time.  Ryan loves to garden.  The outdoors is in his blood.  When his dad mows our lawn he follows him closely wielding his little plastic bubble mower.  He even has his own gardening gloves (see below).  Maybe I’ll just teach him how to garden (which I guess will mean that I’ll have to learn myself!) and then enjoy the fruits of his labor.  But for now,  its just nice to spend time outside together.

For fall…
